Why We Built This Site
Alabama records do not sit in one public database. A city police department may hold the incident report, the Geneva County jail may hold a booking entry, and the Circuit Clerk keeps the charge and disposition file. ALEA maintains the fingerprint-linked state history, while ADOC and the ALEA Sex Offender Registry serve separate custody and notification roles. We assemble the verified request steps, limits, fees, and official contacts for those distinct channels.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately operated reference site, with no connection to an Alabama court, law enforcement office, or state agency. Its role has firm limits:
- We do not retrieve records or conduct official checks
- We cannot submit requests, expungement petitions, or court papers for a visitor
- We issue no certified court document or criminal history
- We cannot advise anyone about a charge, warrant, sentence, or eligibility for relief
- We cannot promise that an agency will not change a fee, address, phone number, or procedure
An official copy must come from the office that maintains it, such as the Geneva County Circuit Clerk, an arresting agency, or ALEA.
